Zybra Interview

Yechiel Rosenblum is the CEO of Zybra. Since starting and selling multiple successful wholesale, retail, and manufacturing businesses, Yechiel has worn all the entrepreneurial hats and followed the beat of his own drum. He was born in Canada but grew up in the US. In addition to starting businesses, Yechiel is a husband, father, and runner with a passion for fitness, health, and innovation.

How did Zybra get started?

Cycling is at an all-time high. People are more health-conscious than ever. We wanted to find a way for the hospitality industry to be able to implement this amenity in a modern, yet hands-free approach.

What was the inspiration behind the company name and logo?

Zybra is an acronym of the names of the people who helped get it off the ground. We chose to correlate it with the Zebra for its distinct characteristics. They are exotic and they stand out in a crowd. Their stripes are individually unique, which speaks to our model. We custom brand each bike to the property, whether it’s a Hotel, Resort, Residence or Commercial Park, to reflect an extension as well as create synergy. Their stripes are as black and white, as our mission statement. We provide a custom-branded, full service, comprehensive bicycle amenity program. Headache-free. Period. As our company was founded in Miami, we incorporated ocean blue, as our primary color, reminiscent of the beach vacation feel, like taking a ride on the boardwalk.

What advantages have you seen since you switched over to the Movatic platform?

We were able to scale and expand our platform and eliminate the constraints of the traditional credit card kiosk, all in a cost-efficient manner. Our ability to continue adding features and upgrades to better the user experience was really the key to making the switch.

What makes Zybra unique? Our Model.

We are the first company to offer a program enabling hotels and properties to be able to have a self serve, app-based, custom bicycle program for their guests. All without having to get bogged down with the day to day or maintenance aspect, and allowing their staff to concentrate on what they do best.

What’s in store for Zybra in 2020?

We will be expanding our footprint into other cities. We are looking to expand nationwide.

How much has Zybra grown in the last year?

From humble beginnings, to presently over 30 locations and counting.

What role has Movatic played in Zybra’s growth?

Movatic has allowed us to facilitate and implement our ideas, which in turn has given us the key elements to enable our growth.

What's something you wish you knew about early on when you started Zybra?

Liability Insurance :)

What’s your favorite feature in the Movatic software?

I don't necessarily have a favorite feature. I'd have to say, the versatility of all the features is its best feature.
